This class is for those new to Pilates, those returning to exercise, and for persons interested in a movement practice that will help to counteract the effects of gravity, poor movement patterns, and aging. Pilates exercises are your tools to help you develop body awareness, proper body alignment, muscle balance, and core strengthening. This is a foundation class where you will be instructed on fundamental Pilates exercises, modifying as needed and advancing as appropriate for the group. (5 student minimum;mat required) Feel the difference in your body in this 10 week session as you deepen the connection between your mind and your body, developing focus and control over movement. Bring your mat, wear comfortable clothes, and build a foundation to support you in your daily activities.
