A privacy fence can be installed in the side and/or rear yards of the lot behind the building line. Fences can be no higher than 6 feet in Residential Districts or 8 feet in commercial or Industrial Districts. Complete and Submit a Residential Building Permit. View more details.

6. Do I need a permit for a fence, shed, deck or addition to my home?

Yes! Please fill out and submit a Residential Building Permit.  Be sure to include a survey or plot plan indicating the size, height, dimensions and specific location of the proposed fence, shed, deck and/or addition.
