This class is for those new to Pilates, those returning to exercise, and for persons interested in a movement practice that will help to counteract the effects of gravity, poor movement patterns, and aging. Pilates exercises are your tools to help you develop body awareness, proper body alignment, muscle balance, and core strengthening. This is a foundation class where you will be instructed on fundamental Pilates exercises, modifying as needed and advancing as appropriate for the group. (5 student minimum;mat required)
Feel the difference in your body in this 10 week session as you deepen the connection between your mind and your body, developing focus and control over movement. Bring your mat, wear comfortable clothes, and build a foundation to support you in your daily activities.

This class is for experienced students who are proficient with the essential Pilates repertoire and are ready to further their practice with intermediate Pilates exercises. Class pace and complexity of exercises will begin at an intermediate level advancing according to class ability. (5 student minimum; mat required; Pilates 12 or 14" flexible ring/magic circle recommended).
