Sewer User Fee
Ross Township contracts with Jordan Tax Service to provide the billing and collection of Sewer User Fees. Sewer bills are mailed quarterly by Jordan Tax Service. As a convenience, residents may elect to receive quarterly sewage bills via email rather than postal mail. Click here to register for eBilling through Jordan Tax Service.
ALCOSAN (Allegheny County Sanitary Authority) provides sewage treatment for all Township residents and businesses, and invoices the Township based upon the water usage (quarterly readings from West View Water) of each sewer user for the same time period.
Property owners are liable for the unpaid bills of tenants. New resident homeowners may receive water/sewer bills for the previous owner. Buyers and sellers should arrange to make bill payments at the time of the closing on the house.
Late charges assessed to unpaid Sewage charges will not be waived.
As ALCOSAN plans to continue large Capital upgrades to their Sewage Treatment facility, Treatment Charges have risen, and ALCOSAN has notified Townships in their service area that their Treatment and Service Charges will continue to rise in upcoming years.
The Township's Treatment Charge & Service Charge are used to fund the repair and maintenance of the Sewage lines inside of & owned by Ross Township.
