Code of Ordinances of the Township of Ross
The electronic version of the Township of Ross Code of Ordinances is not the document of issue and the Township of Ross printed and published Code remains the primary source and document of issue for all purposes. In the event of a conflict between the electronic version of the Code of Ordinances and the official printed Township of Ross Code of Ordinances, the official printed Code of Ordinances shall govern. Copies of the official Township of Ross Code of Ordinances may be purchased from the Township. The user is advised that there may be amendments to the Code of Ordinances which have been enacted after the last revision date of the electronic version of the Code of Ordinances.

Zoning Hearing Board
The Zoning Hearing Board is a five member board that handles requests for variances and special exceptions to the Ross Township Zoning Ordinance. They are empowered by The Municipalities Planning Code and are actually a quasi judicial board, one step below Common Pleas Court. Their decisions are made by listening to evidence presented and their decisions can only be appealed to the Common Pleas Court.
The Zoning Hearing Board is responsible for:
- Special Exceptions
- Appeal for Interpretations
- Protest Appeals
The Zoning Hearing Board meets in the Commissioner's Meeting Room at the Ross Township Municipal Center at 7:00 PM. Commission meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month. Meeting schedules may be changed to accommodate holidays or special events.

The deadline for submission of applications to be put on the agenda of an upcoming meeting is 12:00 PM, 21 days before the scheduled meeting. Applications must be submitted to the Community Development Department at the Ross Township Municipal Center.
