Winter Storm Update
Dear Ross Residents,
As we prepare for the upcoming winter storm, please be advised that Ross Community Center will be closed to the public Sunday, January 25.
Township Public Works crews are scheduled to begin operations early Sunday morning (January 25, 2026) and will continue working throughout the day and into Sunday night.
Road Treatment Plan
Crews will prioritize plowing all Township roads.
Salt will be applied primarily to hills and intersections.
Please note that salt is less effective during frigid temperatures.
Once the storm has ended, crews will return Monday morning (January 26, 2026) to apply a salt/anti-skid mixture to improve road conditions.
As the storm progresses, roads will remain snow covered. A full crew will be out working, but patience is appreciated as it takes time to complete each route. If you have not seen a plow in your area recently, please know that crews are actively working throughout the Township.
For your safety, if travel is not necessary, please stay home. If you must be out, use caution and allow extra time.
Important Reminders
Please do not park vehicles on the street, if possible.
Do not plow or shovel snow from your property into the roadway.
Give plow trucks plenty of space to operate safely.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as our crews work to keep roads as safe as possible during this storm.
Stay safe,
Ross Township
