Police Awards On March 3rd, our Police Department recognized 9 officers, including 2 officers who earned special awards.
Officer Francis Capobianco earned the Officer of the Year Award for 2024. Frank is a 14-year veteran officer with a tireless work ethic and an infectious personality. Officer Capobianco participates in the Attorney General's Task Force, Community Outreach, and became a Field Training Officer in 2024. His welcoming smile and enthusiasm for the job are assets in training new hires. He is willing to take on extra duties without complaint and is always eager to help other officers. Helping officers with retail theft cases led him to start the Theft Investigaton Unit in 2024. Frank has developed a large network of officers, loss prevention agents, and various related contacts which supplement his nearly photographic memory for faces. Officer Capobianco's retail theft clearance rate is 85% and he is a leader of the department in all categories. Officer Capobianco did excellent work in 2024 and embodies the core values of Accountability, Trust, Integrity, Honor and Professionalism. Sgt. Jordan Seese earned the Leadership Award for 2024. Sgt. Seese is a 14-year veteran officer and in his second year as a Sergeant. Jordan consistently demonstrates drive, determination, fairness, and vision. He is not afraid to raise objections in the pursuit of advancing the department and never misses an opportunity to advocate for our officers and our department. Jordan is one of the first to volunteer for challenges, including updating our mission statement and core values, which guide the Police Department in every effort and decision that is made. Officers look up to him as a mentor, advocate, and role model. He is known for a healthy balance of business and humor. Jodan has become a sounding board for department initiatives and his counsel is sought by many due to his balanced judgement and the rare skill of being an attentive and caring listener. Congratulations to all!

A Message from Congressman Chris Deluzio IN-PERSON HELP AVAILABLE FOR VETERANS SEEKING SERVICES
Congressman Chris Deluzio, Pennsylvania’s 17th District I am a proud Navy and Iraq War veteran, so I take special pride in my job as our Congressman to help my fellow veterans get the services and care they have earned. Every veteran who served gave this country a blank check. In return, we make a sacred promise to our nation’s veterans that our government will take care of them when they come home. I take that promise seriously, and we have to do better. That’s why I’m glad to share that my Carnegie office has a trained and accredited Veterans Service Officer from the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) available to serve you. In-person appointments are available on the first Monday of every month (except for federal holidays) between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. My nearest office is located in the Carnegie Office Park at 600 N Bell Avenue, Building 1, Suite 102, Carnegie, PA 15106. Call (412) 344-5583 to schedule an appointment, and we’ll be glad to serve you. Taking care of veterans is personal to me. Like when Caroline in Sharpsburg called my office completely exhausted with trying to navigate the VA benefits system for her mother, we were able to cut through the red tape and get her answers. Or when Elizabeth in Oakdale asked for my help getting her grandfather’s 1944 Distinguished Service Cross reissued so that her grandmother could see it before she passed away—we got it done. Stories like this are why I went into public service in the first place. My office can help with all types of veteran service requests, like getting a DD-214, securing healthcare and disability benefits, housing assistance, pension benefits, and more. And of course, we’re available to serve all Ross Township residents by helping with any issues related to federal agencies. From veterans’ care to Social Security to tax refunds, if my office can help you or your family, please give us a call. Very respectfully, Congressman Chris Deluzio
