The Department’s Traffic Division has officers certified as technicians under the National Child Passenger Safety Program to assist with car seat installations or to check any installation of currently installed seats.
The Department is very active in providing Community Events to its residents and businesses.
Ross Township Police Participates with the Allegheny County district Attorney’s Office in Project Lifesaver. The program was founded in 1998 and was designed to locate citizens with special conditions when they become lost or wander away from home.
The Ross Police Department currently has a Safe Exchange Zone. This is located in two parking spots near the entrance to the police station.
The Department offers Vacation Residence Checks to residents that will be away from their homes for 7 or more days.
